Create favicons and web app icons for your website from any image in one step. Generates all required icon sizes (16×16 through 512×512) plus an ICO file, ready to drop directly into your project.
What image format should I upload?
A 512×512 or larger PNG with a transparent background works best. Square images produce the cleanest favicons. SVG is also supported.
What sizes does a website need?
At minimum: 16×16 and 32×32 for browser tabs, 192×192 for Android home screen, and 180×180 for Apple touch icon. The generator creates all of these.
What is an ICO file?
ICO is the traditional Windows icon format that can contain multiple sizes in one file. Most browsers still read favicon.ico first before looking for PNG icons.
Does the favicon need to be square?
Yes. Favicons are displayed in square regions. If your logo is not square, the generator can add padding to center it in a square frame.
